1. Dr Luong Vinh Quoc Khanh was invited to be a speaker at the Conference on Cardiovascular disease and Inflammation on April 12-14, 2008 at Orlando, Florida, sponsored by the American College for the Advancement of Medicine.

2. He is also involving in Invited Reviewer for the Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry. This is an established review journal that is published by Bentham Science Publishers Ltd., This is an important review journal in the field of medicinal chemistry, which publishes mini-reviews in frontier areas. The journal is already indexed in Chemical Abstracts, MEDLINE, BIOSIS, EMBASE and Science Citation Index-Expanded, ISI Alerting Services, Biochemistry and Biophysics Citation Index, Index to scientific Reviews. The aim of this journal is to foster progress in the field of medicinal chemistry by publishing regular mini-reviews covering recent developments in the field. The articles may cover recent important developments in medicinal chemistry, including developments in rational drug design, synthetic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, high-throughput screening, combinatorial chemistry, drug targets, natural product chemistry and structure-activity relationship studies, which will be of general interest to all workers in the area of medicinal chemistry and allied disciplines. These mini-reviews provide a unique forum to busy scientists to present short but comprehensive accounts of important recent developments, particularly if they cannot afford to write longer articles due to time constraints.
